Chapter 11

I believe that accommodations can be a very beneficial thing to students in special education. I believe that they allow the child to advance to the level that a regular ed child might be at. I believe that accommodations support the special education child to performing better in school than they had planned, These students deserve the same education as regular ed and with these accommodations that can be given to them.
I also believe that it is important to train children in special ed important educational skills such as note taking and test taking skills. With these abilities strengthened, I believe that the students can do far better than without them.
Altogether, I believe that in order to help a struggling child be successful certain measurements need to be fulfilled and it is up to the teacher to encourage the child to utilize and take advantage of the accommodations and support given to them. No child should have to fail. Every child deserves to succeed!
